The Code of Conduct form a general reference framework for our operations

Honkajoki Group’s code of conduct are presented in this Document. These principles form a general reference framework to guide operations and behaviour in the Honkajoki Group. Honkajoki Group’s code of conduct sets common operating models for the group’s business operations, which are based on national and international legislation, agreements and the group’s values. The guidelines determine the right way to act even when the law does not take a stand on the matter.

We require compliance and respect of the guidelines from all companies and employees of the group, regardless of position and area of responsibility. The terms “Honkajoki Group” and “group” refer to Honkajoki Oy and its subsidiaries. When we talk about us, we refer to Honkajoki Group and all its companies. By guidelines, we refer to this Honkajoki Group’s ethical guidelines.

The Honkajoki Group is committed to complying with the principles of sustainable development. The goal is to ensure that the entire company operates responsibly in all business areas. As part of responsible operations, the Honkajoki Group complies with the applicable laws in its areas of operation and respects international agreements*.

The guidelines have been drawn up by the group’s management and approved by the group’s board of directors. The group’s management undertakes to review the principles of the guidelines regularly and to take the main responsibility for their compliance and application at the group’s offices.

In its operating principles, Honkajoki Ltd commits to complying with the following international agreements and recommendations:

  • UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
  • ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work
  • OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises
  • ICC Business Charter for Sustainable Development and ICC Anti-Corruption Code
